Today is the day of the Patron Saint of Palma. Therefore they put half oildrums outside to barbecue. I love this party, with music, everyone in the streets and barbecueing with strangers and friends. This year it was remarkably warm during the night.
We had to wait a lot but managed to eat to much anyway. Later on we went to the concerts, o.a. Muchachito Bomba Infierno. Never heard of them before, but apparently they are famous in Spain. Liked the music and also the fact that there is a painter on the stage. Music made me think of Manu Chao with the brass of Jammah Tammah (in anycase like I remember them from soooo long ago) but that might be a bit too regional for the sparse internet attention I receive:-)

Grappig, dus neem je eigen eten mee om op de bbq te gooien of is het verkoop? Zeg wat is dat voor vreemde foto met allemaal kettingen? Zijn ze paranoide of is dat weer een of ander vreemd Spaans ritueel?

Ja zo is het maar net. De gemeente maakt vuur en zet de barbecues neer (halve oliedrums). En men neemt zijn eigen vleeswaar mee om te verschroeien (meestal gaat het gewoon op de vlam, niks wachten. En vuur is hier nog vuur! geen houtskool, dat wordt het vanzelf immers)
De kettingen zijn op een deur van een kasteel op een berg bij felanitx in de buurt. Zeikerds. loop je eerst 2 uur die berg op te sjouwen, is het kasteel dicht!
