Let´s see. I think my sleeping problems started in the 4th month of the pregnancy, hormone related I guess, I wasn´t even that fat (later on it was impossible to lay comfortable). So let´s say 1 January to put a late date, that makes 402 days up until now. After Lucas was born he needed to be fed at night until the third month, after which we had a blissful 2 months of sleeping solid. After that something happened, or actually many things (went working, stopped breastfeeding, brought him to the daycare, fall started) and he started waking up again. Makes 402-60 months= 342 days of waking up.
Almost a full year of not sleeping 1) enough and 2) longer then 4 hours at a stretch.
You could say that this has an overwhelming influence on my social life and work. I am really really tired. So tired that I started DREAMING about falling asleep behind the wheel driving. The little moments I actually sleep long enough to get to REM.

It sounds horrible, but it
It sounds horrible, but it doesn't show on the pictures that I see of you (at least!). I do not have any good advice or so. Does he sleep well during the day?
Actually, why don't you and Giac start taking turns? Then, at least both of you have one good night of sleep every other night...
It is not SO bad. I mean,
It is not SO bad. I mean, we´ll live:-) And we are taking turns, minor flaw with this system is that the babyfoon is either in our bedroom so we both wake up even if only one actually gets out of the bed or the person ´in charge´ sleeps in his room. So it is either, sleeping little but with husband or sleeping more but alone. We are getting to the stage were we prefer sleeping more, as soon as he gets back to waking up only once we´ll change system again I suppose......
You get used to short nights,
You get used to short nights, but only if you do not have to combine it with work. I manage ok eventhough I am always in charge, since Daan's nipples don't give off any milk. But then, I am at home all day and nobody puts any pressure on what I have to get done, so I get to take it easy and manage to function. Daan doesn't have to get up at night, but he sometimes has to drag himself through the day and falls asleep at 9 o' clock sometimes. But then, he has to go to work. I feel for you guys! Any chance of having one of the grandparents come over and give you guys a break for a while? Sounds like you could do with a few days in a darkened room for some rest.
