Una vida Holandesa en Mallorca

We´re back. It is still hot. Next year we will leave for the full duration of August. It was nice to cool down in the sea though. And even Lucas kept up 20 mins in the water:-)

So we were cooling down in Holland (exactly, Noord Holland). After the wedding and party (see item before) we saw Martin (de Graaf) &co, just back from downunder Australia on a birthday bbq. Then we went to Leiden to see Mink, used a trip to Artis as an excuse to finally meet Juul and did a double baby-visit to Teun and Feline in Hilversum. The week after we went to Groningen to have lunch with Ivo (okay and Thijs and Juul and Datu and their parents); visit my grandfather (Lucas´ great-grandfather) and eat pizza at Irene´s. Good to see all the old and new faces!!!

We´re cooling down in the Netherlands!
First cool activity was the wedding of Femke&Rob, followed by the cool party. First night together alone in 14 months!!!

It is tooooooooo hot...... Unbearable, it does NOT cool down at night. We are going crazy, between mosquitos, the noise of the ventilator and sweating there is very little sleep left. Here we come Holland, let´s cool down YEAH. I have to find clothes (only wearing flimsy dresses, less cloth=better, babies are very fine in diapers only), e.g. socks.... shoes but fine, 2 weeks of cool will cure the heat-blues. So in August we can enjoy sweating again:-)

Still busy with work. Last week in the field. It was not such a bad idea to be in the water with the heatwave here. I did not even try to dive in my neoprene (because the work was short, only 45 mins in the water). So I still do not know if it fits again;-).

Man, completely missed that they buried M.Jackson yesterday. Not that I would have watched but anyway. Maybe I am a bit too busy with my work?

Vorige zaterdag vrijgezellenfeestje van Femke. Dat hoort erbij als je gaat trouwen tenslotte, ook al kennen we hem helemaal niet (het zal toch geen grap zijn?;-). Het was een voorspelbaar weekend op sommige punten:
Kamperen in het stadspark (in de blokhut), lunchen in de Paalkoepel, roeien op het Friescheveen, Steengrillen en Bowlen op het Kattendiep.
Maar voorspelbaar kan best leuk zijn, het was erg gezellig! Fotos binnenkort op mijn Flickr of Picasa, afhankelijk van de geschiktheid voor jonge kijkertjes. Goed iedereen weer te zien! En tot Augustus:-)
