We only woke up once last night:-)
On another note, they brought to my attention this article (they is of course an american dominated women-in-science-group): http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200904/case-against-breastfeeding/3
And I am happy to note not EVERYONE shares the wild enthusiam (or hype) on breast-feeding. Made me feel better, and certainly I feel that the pressure should be reduced on us poor working women that are not breastfeeding (anymore).
Let´s see. I think my sleeping problems started in the 4th month of the pregnancy, hormone related I guess, I wasn´t even that fat (later on it was impossible to lay comfortable). So let´s say 1 January to put a late date, that makes 402 days up until now. After Lucas was born he needed to be fed at night until the third month, after which we had a blissful 2 months of sleeping solid. After that something happened, or actually many things (went working, stopped breastfeeding, brought him to the daycare, fall started) and he started waking up again. Makes 402-60 months= 342 days of waking up.
Almost a full year of not sleeping 1) enough and 2) longer then 4 hours at a stretch.
You could say that this has an overwhelming influence on my social life and work. I am really really tired. So tired that I started DREAMING about falling asleep behind the wheel driving. The little moments I actually sleep long enough to get to REM.
