Una vida Holandesa en Mallorca

This weekend was a bit painful. The just assembled IKEA-closets fell right off our crumbling walls leaving big holes. But it looks fixed so with a little bit of luck we are close to the end (only thing left: attach the bathtub to the sewerage).
Sunday afternoon was BBQ time, a classical Argentinian asado:-) Very good. The way to but most of all back (I am still afraid of heights especially when the road is NEXT to a 500 m drop-off without any barrier) was filled with spectacular views and a most beautiful golden sunset caressing the deep green of the pines on the mountain (yes I got poetic). Sigh. Tomorrow work again.......

Van het weekend wezen wandelen in wat bleek een ´Archeologisch park´ te zijn. Leuk hoor. Allee begon al NL aan te doen: zorgvuldig bewaard groen plekje tussen de golfbanen en dure huizen. maar wel mooi uitzicht. Camera was niet mee maar dat is maar goed ook anders worden jullie jaloers van de blauwe hemel.

This weekend I basically have been extremely lazy. Really unlike me I have slept at least 10 hours a day and haven´t done anything more substantial than loosing terribly with bowling. Of course I can explain that. Due to the changing hour it was far past dinner time during the game and my body went on a complete strike (not throwing stikes) up till the moment the nacho´s (and guacamole:-) arrived but of course that was during dinner and I already lost the game scandeously.
There was another activity worth mentioning though: we finished painting the bathroom (finished is a discutable adjective but let me put it like this: It has been ENOUGH). Now the bathtub is upside-down (of course they delivered a damaged tub but we could not face brining it back and waiting another 3 months not to mention conquer the 3 floors up and down again, so we settled for the free repair-set), waiting to dry. Then we´ll paint it with a special enamel paint for bathtubs and kitchen equipment (my eyes have opened to the world of useful things you can buy in the LeroyMerlin) and then........ the only things left are cleaning and IKEA. Unless somebody knows of a better (cheaper: money=gone) place to buy bathroom closets of course.
Oyeah, and we went to the Palma aquarium. But only because a firend arranged free entrances because the fee (18,50) is not worth the effort, now we know for sure. But nice aquarium, liked the big tank and the jungle. But nothing compared to Noorder dierpark Emmen Of course.

Je moet er wel wat voor doen: een vakantievlucht vol dikke nederlandse toeristen (wat zijn doorsnee NL dik geworden!!!) trotseren, om 4am bij de bushalte staan voor de weg terug maar dan heb je ook wat.
Weekendje Amsterdam, het was erg gezellig op promotie feesten, etentjes, de melkweg, nieuwe huizen bekijken en mijn tas volproppen met dingen die ik thuis niet kan vinden (o.a. versterker, dropjes etc.). Maar die regen mag uit de volgende keer. Moest er 20 minuten langer door koffie pauzeren vanochten, om weer wat op te warmen in de zon:-)
