Una vida Holandesa en Mallorca

I just heard that here in Spain (or here at mallorca/IMEDEA?) it is normal to work until you give birth. Apparently nobody takes maternity leave BEFORE the birth. This option never even occured to me, I already planned to have some time for myself before the big event. But now I seriously need to reconsider my priorities. Do I want to fully integrate into the cultural society here or will I take leave before as planned? The advantage they keep telling me is that if you do it after, you have the full 4 months with the baby before you come back to (FULLTIME! here they do not know part-time) work. But anyway I had a campaign planned in august which I cannot miss. mmm.....
